The idea for Woodify came from a fascination with flames and a passion for steel.
I have always found the flames fascinating and mesmerizing, the moments spent outdoors with family or friends are always more convivial around a brazier; the heat diffused, the light, this feeling of security anchored in our genes since the night of time.
I was looking for a brazier model that was out of the ordinary, with a robust, aesthetic design, and I couldn’t find anything that suited me.
I have been immersed in steelwork since my childhood, thanks to my father, a metallurgist, my training as a sculptor and designer led me to draw my first model.
I designed, created, welded, tested it, everything was functional, but in prototype state.
So I approached a local laser operator in order to have the perfect finish.
Immediately, my friends and relatives asked me, “where did you find this?”
Entrepreneur at heart, it made me want to develop the concept.
One model was not enough for me, so I decided to create other objects, it was very fun, exciting.
For ethical reasons, I turned to local production, I was sure that it was possible to produce quality things locally while remaining competitive.
